Agreement
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Kikusho mobile application, website, and related services. By downloading or using Kikusho, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and standard end-user licence agreement.
Using Kikusho
Kikusho gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for lawful language learning and personal study.
- You must follow applicable laws and respect the rights of other people.
- You may not misuse the service, bypass usage limits, interfere with security, reverse engineer protected portions of the service, or use automated systems to overload it.
- You are responsible for the material you submit and must have the right to use it.
- You may not use Kikusho to generate or distribute unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or rights-infringing content.
Accounts and your content
Kikusho can be used anonymously. If you choose Sign in with Apple, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple account and for activity associated with your Kikusho account.
You keep ownership of words, images, notes, and other material you submit. You grant Kikusho and its service providers a limited licence to process that material only as needed to generate cards, synchronize your library, provide support, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Generated content
Kikusho uses automated systems to draft flashcards, translations, readings, explanations, tags, examples, and pronunciation. Generated content can be incomplete or wrong. You should review and edit each card before relying on it.
Kikusho is a study aid, not professional translation, academic, medical, legal, or safety advice. You remain responsible for how you use generated content.
Free use and subscriptions
The free version currently includes up to five new captures per day and unlimited review of saved cards. Kikusho Pro removes that five-a-day capture limit and synchronizes the photos attached to your captures across the devices signed in to your account. Available plans, prices, currencies, taxes, and features are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We may change subscription pricing or features with the notice required by law and App Store rules.
Fair use of Kikusho Pro
Kikusho Pro is sold for personal study, and card generation costs us money on every request. To keep the service fast and affordable for everyone, we apply reasonable technical limits to how many cards a single account can generate in a given minute, hour, and day, and we may decline requests beyond them.
These limits are set well above what personal study involves and are not intended to restrict normal use. They exist to stop automated, scripted, shared, or resold access. If you reach one during genuine personal study, write to zangiacomistefano@gmail.com and we will look at your account.
Ownership
Kikusho, including its software, design, brand, and original content, is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Kikusho to you. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.
Availability and termination
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of Kikusho to maintain, secure, or improve the service. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or error-free, and online card generation requires a compatible device and internet connection.
You may stop using Kikusho at any time and may delete your account in the app. We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment, or a serious or repeated breach of these Terms.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Kikusho is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We do not guarantee particular learning results or the accuracy of generated material.
To the extent permitted by law, Kikusho is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Kikusho or the law. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice when required. Continuing to use Kikusho after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
